The Flammability Tester for Fabric (Vertical Flame Test Type) consists of sheet metal enclosure, a bunsen burner placed over a metal block which can be moved to bring it vertically below the lower edge of the test specimen, a clip for holding the upper end of the test specimen, and two metal plates with clamps for holding the lower edge of the test specimen firmly.
The enclosure is closed from three sides and bottom. Its front has a hinged sheet metal door having a large glass window for viewing the test specimen during the test. The top of the enclosure is open. A rectangular opening of the 25 mm height and 125 mm length is left on the front side of the chamber for fresh air to come in from.
